Expectations were far from being fulfilled
At the reception they first tried to persuade us that we hadn't paid yet. Although Booking had already debited this on 22.12.24. However, I had all the necessary receipts so that I could prove the payment. We then asked if breakfast could be refunded as the fourth person couldn't be there. Again, no concession.
This behaviour does not correspond to a 4 star hotel.
Firstly, here are the positives:
The location is central. The neighbourhood is very good, with many restaurants and pubs nearby.
Now to the negative issues:
The hotel is not worthy of four stars, rather in the lower three-star range.
In general, the hotel is quite outdated. Walls panelled in the entrance area and in the common rooms.
The rooms look very worn. Small stains everywhere on the walls or in the bathroom no more grouting or cracks in the walls.
- The rooms (double rooms) are rather small. Likewise the bathrooms (for 2 people).
- Cleanliness is not very important
- Breakfast room was very small for the number of hotel guests. Every day
you had to stand in line....
- Breakfast quality below average, coffee from the machine very bitter,
no fresh fruit, juices from concentrate, no yoghurt, not a real choice
selection of cheese and cold cuts.
- Room has a minibar, but no drinks in it
- Staff not very friendly, especially the receptionist...

Breakfast not so good. Scrambled eggs dry and over cooked. Toast machine didn't work.

Great location
location but still nice and quiet during the evenings. Within walking distance of a lot restaurants, cafes and bars. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast is good
