So so

We stayed one night in a balcony, no pet room. It was ok and clean. Could smell a bit of mildew in the sink area. The room was large and much of it had been refreshed. The breakfast area and choices were good. From the balcony, it was fun to watch the ships passing by. The biggest issue for us was there was no working water source to rinse the sand from our feet after the beach. Had to use the pool shower. On the day we were there, the beach wasn’t very nice. There was trash debris and lots of plants washed up and in the water.

Relaxing and Enjoyable

We stayed here 3 nights and it was relaxing and enjoyable. I admit I was a little concerned when I went back and read reviews from last year after I had booked the reservation - reviews mentioned roaches and other pests, rooms not clean and issues with the employees - but we experienced none of that. The floor could have been a little cleaner but not a big deal, and housekeeping stopped in only once and switched out some towels but I also didn't request it. Our room had a separate area with the microwave, fridge and coffee maker which was nice and convenient. But overall the best was the location and the room view - even though we were on the first floor the balcony overlooked the yard and beyond were the dunes and the Chesapeake Bay. It was so nice just sitting on the balcony and taking it all in. Second best is the breakfast - lots to offer with eggs, meat, waffles, breads, etc., and really good coffee. This hotel is older and a little dated but many improvements have been made. I would stay here again and recommend it to others!

I was charged 100.00 for deposit and am still waiting to get it back...there was an ant infestation in the room and the pool was not open

The room was dirty, my kids found trash of food behind the couch and also a vape in one of the beds.
The walls are so thin that you can hear everything, we didn’t get any sleep cause the neighbors were loud and you could also hear the noise of the street because the walls are so thin. The only good thing was that it was steps away from the beach.

This is an older hotel but with a newer addition. It has been kept up very well, clean & neat. Breakfast area was great. Front dest personnel were very nice!
