More than a typical Hampton
This is an unusual Hampton. It has indoor and outdoor pools with plenty of seating. It also has a restaurant on site. Breakfast is pretty typical of Hampton, but well stocked and in a large well lit area. It is large hotel, updated and well maintained. Front desk was friendly and helpful. I was told owners are often on site to check up on their property. They own several others, but are not a large corporation. They seem to really care about customer experience. I was concerned about fire doors on each level being open, but front desk explained that they automatically close when a fire alarm sounds. On more closely inspecting the doors, I can see this is true.
I just now noticed they also have an arcade with several games as well as ping pong table, pool table, food ball, and air hockey located just outside the restaurant and pool.

Accommodations were average, much of the furniture needed replaced. Always preferred Hampton but will not be as concerned choosing this brand. Food was not as expected.

Excellent hotel!
We were travelling with our dog, so the pet fee for Hampton Inn for three nights was in line with what we usually spend. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay and the hotel is nicely located to see the sights of Holland. It's not walking distance to anything, but everything we did was a quick 10-20 minute drive. Our room was spacious, allowing us to spread out and was clean and nicely furnished. Everything was up to date and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast spread was a notch above average, but the scrambled eggs were less than spectacular - dry and crumbly maybe would be the way to describe them. We didn't use any amenities or visit the on site bar/restaurant.

Great Place to Stay!
We loved the Hampton Inn! The room was large and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. All spaces were clean. We liked having the shampoo and body wash in the shower. It was wonderful to have an inside hot tub AND an outside hot tub.
The pool was nice, and we thank you for having large towels in the pool area! Most hotels only have tiny ones. One complaint would be that the water pressure and/or the shower head didn't have a very strong flow of water. Also, the AC/heat unit seemed unusually loud. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great Location, Best quality for the dollar.
The hotel is best quality for the money. The tulip festival is a great experience in Holland, Michigan. The staff is nice. They make cookies at the front desk. I love this place. The Hotel is near Starbucks and all that you could want for places to eat. We ate at a Hibachi grill across the street from the hotel only. The best for the dollar.
