Not bad. Clean but not spectacular. Room was comfy and spacious. The walls were a little dirty, it may be just from them being old but that’s the only complaint. The staff is excellent. Kid friendly, free breakfast. Wouldn’t mind staying again.

Horrible experience!
I cannot express how deeply disappointed and disgusted I am by my recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta Kennesaw Town Center. It was an absolute nightmare — especially for a parent with a young child.
When we checked into our room, we were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of mamajuana in the hallway — an incredibly strong, pungent odor that was completely unacceptable, especially in a hotel meant for families. Later I called the front desk to report it, concerned not just for comfort, but for my two-year-old daughter’s safety while she slept. The only solution offered? Move rooms. That’s it. No apology, no urgency, just a dismissive “we can move your room.”
I explained that this wasn’t just about inconvenience — it was about my child breathing in potentially harmful smoke. The front desk staff was shockingly rude and inconsiderate. No concern, no compassion. Just cold indifference.
Even worse, someone was openly smoking a bowl right outside our window. I asked the front desk to do something about it, and I was told she “had to handle other guests first.” Are you kidding me? I had to confront this man myself because the staff refused to take action and the police wouldn’t arrive in time. I shouldn’t have to protect my child from drug use on hotel property because the staff won’t.
When I pressed the issue again, I was actually told to wake up my sleeping two-year-old and move her — just so the front desk could avoid dealing with the situation. Absolutely unbelievable.
This hotel is not safe. It is not family-friendly. And it is clear they have no interest in guest well-being, especially when it involves children. I urge anyone considering this hotel — especially families — to stay away. There are better, safer, and more professional places to stay in the area.

Layout is great. Overall look is neat and tidy but doors had chips and marks on them. Hallways smell of string deodorizer trying to mask the weed smell. Terrible. The sofa bed the main reason we chose this property to accommodate our fifth person was old, worn out dirty mattress so thin not comfortable. My guest slept on top of sofa it was so bad and that was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty hairs from some other guest in tub. Shower curtain had someone’s bloody snot rocket on it. Breakfast had tons of options. It was good for the one night we stayed but won’t be choosing sonesta again.

We were charged 75 extra for one night for one dog. This was never shown on hotels.com website. Room was dingy, dirty carpet, scratched and broken furnishings. Elevator was dirty and smelled. Would never go back

Overall is a good hotel and good service. The only thing is that we found a dirty plate inside the fridge and one of the bathrooms was dirty.
