Two rooms booked to attend family funeral in peacehaven

Booked two rooms as we were attending a family funeral.
On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant staff member ( in the restaurant, as there isn't a reception) once our reservation was confirmed, we were shown to our two rooms, rooms no2 & no6.
Both rooms absolutely fine, lovely views of the sea, and two , in my eyes, very important definates, a comfy bed and exceptionally clean.
As we had travelled a fair distance, and were slightly tired, we opted to eat in the adjoining restaurant, the "bird and burger " 5 faultless meals were enjoyed, and empty plates all round !!!!.
Despite the hotel not providing breakfast, it wasn't a problem, directly opposite there is a sainsburys,
One very very minor issue, the key for the door which acsesses the accommodation took an infinity to get out of the lock, there is obviously a knack , but unfortunately both myself and my family member didn't have the "knack" the key would just turn and turn.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Definitely be back.

10/10 for comfort and service

What a wonderful place to stay, clean and very comfortable, staff are very welcoming. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Having a pub/restaurant on premises was really good, food was just amazing. We were in room 4, I believe is slightly bigger than the others. Great room thank you

Amazing friendly and attentive staff

Great 1 night stop over here, for a music festival in Brighton. Room was a good size and spotless. Lovely burger restaurant downstairs where the staff were amazing. A shout out to Hayley and Will, who went above and beyond! Great staff, friendly, attentive, always smiling. Excellent!!

Clean, friendly, convenient

Friendly and convenient. Very helpful staff. Perfect if you're looking for a stayover to visit Brighton or catch the ferry to Newhaven. Rooms were clean and comfortable and some had a lovely sea view. Easy walk to the cliffs overlooking the sea. Sainsbury's and other eating options nearby.

Quiet and comfortable

We were unsure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, big enough for us and well appointed with kettle etc, bathroom toiletries and a couple of breakfast porridge pots. We had a view of the sea and the room was quiet enough even with it being above the burger grill. The staff there were very helpful. It was actually just what we wanted. Thank you.
