Very nice hotel near Sultanahmet

This is a fairly new hotel, and is very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is lovely.
It is very close to Aksaray Metro/bus terminal, Yenikapi Metro and the T1 tram stop, so is extremely convenient for travel from the airport.
Sultanahmet Square and the main sights are about 25 mins walking distance.
There are lots and lots of restaurants and coffee shops in the area.
There is a good selection of hot and cold foods for breakfast.
The street can be a bit ropey in the evenings (the front door is locked at night and you have to knock to get in). And the carpet in the corridor really needs to be replaced!
But those are the only issues I had.

A good destination to go in Istanbul

I have spent a week in this hotel i really liked it
Its good located, transport stations are near the hotel and its calm ,the breakfast was good and there's a variety of food ,the staff were so kind and helpful also the wifi was good ,i took a triple room nad it was big , in general it was an excellent experience in the charm hotel.

Recommend

I have been to Istanbul three times and the third time the best hotel choice was the charming Old City Hotel. The hotel has a very great location in the middle of everything you need and everything you want to visit. Very clean, the room is clean, the furniture and renovations are new, the breakfast is acceptable. The hotel staff is very polite, especially the employee (Bakri,) who is very polite and helpful. Next to the hotel there are all daily needs and very close to the train and metro station. I highly recommend choosing this hotel.

Nice place to stay

Hotel Is in good location near to Metro and tram, has very nice room, even if smaller but more than enought for 2 people as we are. All hotel and room very clean, nice smell in the Lobby. Breakfast nice, everyone can choose, you have yogurts, puding, oats, cornflaces, milk, sweet cakes, boiled and scrambled eggs, vegetables, fruits, bread, salami, sousage, cheese, coffee, tea, water and juice. All staff were kind, friendly, helpfull and smiling all the time. I was working 8 years in tourism, so is not easy for me to find good place to stay, but to The Charm Hotel - Old City I will not be afraid to come again or recomend to my family, friends and anybody of you, whom are planing to visit Istanbul.

Good bathroom, small bedroom, insufficient lighting in bedroom. Breakfast adequate. Reception and breakfast room staff helpful. Some noise from club opposite.
