Savan Resorts is a beautiful hotel thats conveniently located about ten minutes to Savannakhet Airport. When we arrived the staff were attentive and helped us with our bags. We stayed on both sides of the resort which is a casino. The suites were very nice. They have many amenities including a gym, pool, spa, cafe and lots of food options! Everyone that worked there were so kind and were willing to go out of their way to help us. We enjoyed the cafe, spa, and chopstix. On our departure day they told us about their free airport shuttle and their employee Win went with us and helped us check in and stayed with us until we got through security. The service was impeccable I’d definitely stay there again.

Worst hotel ever. Doesn't look like a 5-star hotel to me

It was the worst hotel I've visited. Starting from the check-in, staff doesn't know how to explain things around the hotel. Don't even know how to speak simple English, they will instantly call the manager to speak with us and inform us about everything.
Everywhere smells cigarette smoke. Even in the room, it says no smoking but it smells like smoking. The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed ever and the bathroom was so dirty, it seemed like the staff didn't dare to clean it at all.
When we called for room service to order 2 sets of french fries, they literally dropped the phone. It was very rude and we called again and started complaining about the rudeness of the staff. How come this hotel is a 5-star lol doesn't even look like it.
Don't dare to stay here you'll just get frustrated.

Amazing!!!!! Staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Mackey at the bar and pool went above and beyond! He even helped me take a mini photo shoot.

The hotel was quite nice and realxing but the location is out of the way if you want to explore the city. In addition finding transportation for a reasnable price is a big issue. However if you call the hotel late at night you can have a taxi pick you up as a last resort. Lastly, my girlfriend and i used the laundry service and were shocked at the price $57 USD for a couple underwear, 2 jackets, socks, [4 days worth of cloth] a highway robbery. Overall not the best experience but the actual room was solid.
