The entire experience was great. The location was ideal, room was clean and spacious. The property was very clear and swift on instructions for checking in and parking. Also dog friendly. Overall would recommend The Hide to absolutely everyone travelling to Ghent.

Top rooms with ditto beds and very neat on arrival!
It is a prime location in the heart of Ghent that is easily accessible. The accompanying garden is also a wonderful place of peace in the middle of the city.
I just read some older reviews here, but note that the current owner certainly has her business done now and is still planning to further decorate the garden!
Highly recommended!

Very comfortable with all the basic anemities. There is a common workspace, an inside and outsiade balcony, a small garden with a chicken, and private parking. This place is a self-admitting boutique hotel a short walk or ride from the train-station. Everything is functional and easy to use. If you are noise sensitive make sure you have a room in the back. // Très confortable avec toutes les commodités de base. Il y a un espace de travail commun, un balcon intérieur et extérieur, un petit jardin avec un poulet et du stationnement privé. Cet endroit est un boutique-hôtel pour voyageurs/euses autonomes, à distance de marche ou de tram de la station de train. Tout est fonctionnel et facile à utiliser.

Quirky, lovely oasis in the middle of Gent.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The past four days have again been a pleasure. The first time my wife stayed in the roof space which was massive, this time we both stayed at ground level with an equally big room. Living down stairs with the bed up on an open second level, this was a great free flowing space. With the garden on the canal just out the back and the hungry chook always looking for a free freed providing free company, where else could we stay in Gent. The owner’s personal touches and amazing capacity to communicate with her guests is a real plus in today’s fast moving accomodation sector. Thank you and Yes, we will be back again!

Lovely visit to The Hide - so glad we chose this place!

We had a lovely stay in Yugen at The Hide. The apartment was super clean and very stylish. The beds were amazingly comfy. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the roof terrace too! The complex also has a great garden and we loved visiting and feeding the enormous and very beautiful chickens! The Hide is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the centre of Gent and the train station. There are many lovely restaurants in the same street as the The Hide and we found something for everyone. Most do take away too. Supermarket basically next door. We would definitely stay again.
