Have stayed here twice , and on both occasions the room had a heavy damp smell . Leaving the windows open to air the stench would mean it can get noisy with all traffic and humans passing by

Room - modern and clean with comfortable beds, but minimalist. Just a heads up - tiny fridge with no freezer for ice brick. Room had 2 single beds, but only one chair. No microwave. No niceties like complimentary biscuits. On-site parking in basement is $20 a night, otherwise its the street with metered parking during the day. (Didn't know when I booked, and parked on the street, but would have chosen somewhere else that had off street parking in the rate if i had known, as I felt the extra $20 made it an expensive hotel) Late checkout is $15 per hour.

So good I didn't want to leave!
Chosen for proximity to public transport (bus and tram), shopping malls (3), and well away from traffic mayhem, this hotel has been awesome. Home away from home.
Woodroffe is unique in it's location within a quiet residential area, yet central to Gold Coast business district and medical facilities. Views over the Broadwater and yacht club to the ocean, from my east facing room were also welcome.
This is a modern facility with quality fitout, functional for travellers and businessmen alike. Laundry room and limited secure parking are available. Staff are all happy and helpful with clean public areas and easy access for disabled clients.
Rooms are quiet and a sound sleep is assured on comfortable beds and with adequate pillows and blankets.
Phone, fast wifi, LAN connection, tv and aircon are all high quality.
We arrived by car which remained safely locked away below. We all made use of the inexpensive local transport options including light rail connecting thru to Brisbane.
With so many local food outlets and cafes just across the park we didn't partake of hotel cafe facilities. A microwave oven is available in the lobby cafe area for reheating any takeaways.
Coffee, tea, soaps and shampoos are all provided in room and daily servicing ensures a supply of fluffy clean towels.

I think this hotel lets rooms to council to house the homeless, questionable guests and poor security at night
